There's that awful feeling again. The thought that he failed Yukio, failed everyone...

He swallowed hard and looked away, rubbing his neck roughly.]

[ She starts there because she's stuck so many pins in various places throughout his statement that she isn't entirely sure which one to pull first. Why was Mephisto on television? Who would have motive to attempt to murder someone of his rank and position and why then? His allegedly human brother, Yukio, possessed by Satan? And the prison break, the... that plan, it's a lot of questions that will birth more questions, more pieces she probably won't be able to get from Rin to put this whole thing together, but the big one is that name, another... another big name that she recognizes, just. ]

[There was no point in hiding it, the emotions already bubbling to the surface before her absolutely apt response to what he'd told her.]

I don't always understand him or what he does, but this was just... it doesn't make a damn bit of sense to me. But I also haven't seen him in over two years now.

[ She's quiet for a moment. There's so very much she's missing, more questions boiling, bubbling up to the surface, and Rin... has questions, too. He's missing pieces and if he's missing pieces, then is Yukio missing pieces? This is the first time he's mentioned Lucifer, too, and she can't really begin to guess how that demon fits into all this unless there's some correlation between Lucifer and Satan?

But even then, that's just a guess, nothing detailed, solid, and Rin's emotions are more immediately pressing. Two years, he said. Two years without resolution on that single matter on top of the others he's been troubled over. It's no wonder his heart is a mess.

[Rin is as in the dark as she is about so many things. There's an entire book of this saga missing and he still has no idea how to handle it. The point where he left all those years ago doesn't help matters any, as if he paused seconds before the integral scene in a movie that would explain everything and had to leave it there indefinitely.

[ It's a question asked calmly, evenly because what he's suggesting is something on the scale of a true calamity. It's one thing to affect a small locale, but the entirety of the planet... ]

[ She isn't entirely sure what those words mean either. Needs to back up, actually, because there are certain assumptions she's made now that she's thinking about it. They're place names and the magnitude of these places being united is calamitous, that's for certain.

Setsura is also certain, given how strong his reactions have been, that it would be best to rein him in, take a definite break for today. She's got questions, so many questions and she's missing so very many pieces, but he's given her a lot. More than pieces, his heart has also been stirred very finely. This matter concerning his brother is very near and dear to him, especially. ]
