What's so special about demons?

[ It's one of many questions running through her head. When humans Awaken in her world, they Awaken to the whole of it and it's a far from easy transition for the majority, coming into such a powerful, encompassing awareness. As a hanyoukai, she herself has always passively sensed not only that which would be considered preternatural, but humans as well -- the whole of the world, the many pieces of it. A fleshy vessel doesn't generally stop her and if she should concentrate, focus -- well, there's a good bit to it.

The concept of sensing nothing isn't unfamiliar, merely foreign to her own experiences. That's the majority of humanity in the age she was born, but this sort of... pickiness... is odd.

What's she missing? She cants her head, quiet, focused. She's missing something even as she gets distracted thinking back to Rin's flame and Leaf's familiars, the demons from Gehenna she has met.
